Cranmore Community Co-operative in their aim to support older persons in the community are presently taking grant applications for the Seniors Alert Alarm Scheme administered by the Co-op and managed by the Department of Environment, Community, and Local Government. The purpose of the scheme is to ensure that older people without sufficient means continue to live securely in their own home with confidence, independence and peace of mind. Funding will be available for the purchase & installation of personal monitored alarms. Qualifying persons must be over 65 years of age, and living alone or with another qualified person. Free 1:1 counselling and support for individuals misusing substances
Free 1:1 counselling & support for individuals living with a loved ones substance misuse
Counselling: Counselling provides the client with the time and space to explore thoughts & feelings related to their substance misuse and other associated areas of their lives. They may assist in addressing and resolving specified problems, decision making, coping with crisis, developing personal insight and knowledge, working through feelings of inner conflict or improving relationships with others.
Family Support: The Substance Misuse Workers advocate and support family members or concerned significant others who are experiencing difficulties with a loved ones substance misuse. Family member / concerned significant others are given the space to talk through their needs and concerns with the Substance Misuse Worker.
Relapse Prevention Group: This group helps individuals to remain drug/alcohol free / including other additive behaviours through identifying triggers & developing relapse prevention & skills to aid recovery.
